Classes and Contact Details for My Teachers
Both Sophie and Diane were direct students of Vanda Scaravelli they have an amazing sense of openness and ease in their bodies and are truly inpirational. Ideal for experienced practitioners or students who have been coming to my class for a least a year - especially Diane! If you are a long time yoga practitioner, these teachers will change and deepen your practice in a profound way.
Sophy Hoare - based in Clapham South, London but also teaches workshops and courses nationwide.
Dianne Long - teaches worldwide but has some workshops and courses in the UK in late November 2011
Jenny Beeken is my orginal teacher she has an amazing insight in ito teaching remedial yoga and her transmission of the yoga philosophy is grounding, practical and bordering on shamanic! I highly recommend her teacher training courses. She trained directly with BKS Iyengar and Angela Famer and Victor Van Kooten.
Jenny Beeken - based in Hampshire. She has written a number of good books on general yoga, yoga philosophy, breath and pregnancy yoga.
Angela Farmer and Victor Van Kooten - orginially trained as senior Iyengar teachers in the early days of the teacher training. They later left the organisation to follow their own inner teachers and explore a much more fluid, spacious and flowing style. Victor and Angela teach worldwide mainly in the US and Greece where they run two and three week courses which enable a truly deep and unwinding practice that will change your life for ever!
Uma Dinsmore-Tuli - Uma is a fantastic yoga teacher / trainer who has the incredible ability to teach everyone from 9 months to 99 years old. She has written some wonderful books on yoga during pregnancy and women's yoga. Her style is very feminine and playful. She also puts on fabulous yoga festivals - highly recommended (see her website link Santosa Camps, for details).
