Tilton House is the ideal location to rest, rejuvenate and connect with nature. This is the fourth year of Holistic Yoga retreats at Shaun and Polly’s lovely retreat centre. Their beautiful period home and rambling garden feel so calm and welcoming, you’ll find yourself relaxing as soon as you arrive.
On a weekend retreat, the time and space allow a deeper nurturing than is possible in a weekly yoga class. With no need to worry about work, caring for others, battling traffic or even cooking for yourself, something rather special happens. The time just flies by. Each day, you’ll realise that you’re releasing layers of bodily tension and have a progressively clearer, calmer mind.
These weekend retreats offer a variety of yoga, meditation and sound bathing practices which work together to refresh your mind, body and spirit. As the yoga is modified to suit your individual needs, you can enjoy the weekend with a friend or relative who is entirely new to yoga.
On the 4-day retreat, we’ll be looking at how to improve our walking gait, using gentle yoga and movement practices. Often, an imbalance in our gait is the root cause of knee, hip, back and shoulder pain. Julia has specialist training in this area and there is an option to have an individual consultation with her for your specific needs (for an extra charge).
